Eggs are they good for you?

Hell yes is what i want to say, eggs are one of the most nutrient rich foods available, they are packed with proteins, nutrients and antioxidants.

Research is showing that there is no relationship between moderate egg consumption and increased cardiac risk.  A recent research paper on this topic can be found here;

To quote Dr Carrie Ruxton, an independent dietitian and registered public health nutritionist: “The health benefits of eggs would appear to be so great that its perhaps no exaggeration to call them a superfood they are one of the most nutrient-dense foods available.”

Now remember that not all eggs are created equal, the birds need to be well fed and have natural living conditions. A Battery chicken fed poor quality food and given no exercise will not provide a nutrient rich egg!  Eggs are a whole food and are best eaten poached, other cooking methods interfere with the end goodness you will receive. Best place to buy good eggs is at a local market.
